Hi, I'm Aliya!
I want to share a story about the power of saying YES to opportunities.
Around six months ago, I stumbled upon a post from a colleague who was actively looking for a coach. In his post, he specified the kind of coaching he needed and provided some insights into his business.
While I have experience working with numerous business owners and solopreneurs, I couldn't help but feel a tad overwhelmed by his description of the ideal coach he was seeking. In fact, I questioned my own abilities and whether I was truly qualified for the role.
But, there was a voice within me, a small but persistent one, that urged me to seize this opportunity. It told me to push aside any doubts and embrace the potential that saying YES could bring.
I'm sure you can relate; uncertainty often creeps in when we're faced with major decisions in our careers, businesses, or personal lives. It can be challenging not to let that uncertainty dictate our actions!
But, what I've come to understand is that this doubt is merely a signal. It's a whisper saying, "Hey, you're about to step out of our cozy comfort zone. Are you sure you're ready to take that leap?"
Our only job is to respond to that signal with a resounding YES, even (and sometimes especially!) if it feels nerve-wracking.
Because I've had a bit of practice in the "diving in anyway" department--even when my mind is screaming "Aliya, WAIT...don't do it!-- I decided to respond, "I'm game!" to my colleague's request. And here's what happened next!
He chose me as his coach for both himself and his business partner. After several coaching sessions, they made the decision to bring me on as a contracted coach for their training company. Moreover, they're investing in my growth by enrolling me in a personal development training program that I'm currently immersed in.
Over the past three months, I've had the privilege of meeting some incredibly inspiring individuals within this program. And? All of this unfolded because I said "No!" to doubt and "Yes!" to potential.
Now, does this happen every single time we say "yes" to an opportunity? Absolutely not! But the more we embrace aligned opportunities with a spirit of "who cares, let's DO it," the more we:
Create new opportunities
Amplify our confidence
Become unapologetically bold
Inspire more people!
