Usually when we say 'sending love your way' it's because someone is sick, unhappy, or god-forbid knows someone who passed away.
But why don't we send love, just to send love?
I know I never have so much love in my life that I'm like "NO MORE! I CAN'T TAKE IT! Ugh, so much kindness and goodness- it's so unfair!"
Right?!
Yet so often we're impressed with something someone does...
Or want to reach out to someone we feel needs our help...
And we don't. We stay inside our little box.
Because we...
This past Sunday, my fiancé Mike and I spent from 11am -6pm at Bloomingdales, registering for our wedding.
(In case you didn't know, I'm getting married at the end of this summer to my best friend Mike). YAY!
Now, I had been looking forward to the process of walking through Bloomies, checking out dishware, and giftware, and all that jazz...
But!
I was given MANY-a-warning before we went to the store....
When I used to think about "selling," whether through:
👉direct messaging people and offering to hop on a call with them
👉 or promoting my latest offering in Facebook groups
I used to be UBER afraid of IRRITATING people.
I pictured everyone thinking: "Ugh. This girl just wants to SELL me"
OR "there goes Aliya again, waving her 'buy me, buy me!' flag!"
Seems like a simple enough idea, right?
Mmm, not so much, actually. Why?
>>Because SO many of us DON’T REALLY BELIEVE IT.<<
We don’t believe people actually like spending money.
In fact, most of us believe people HATE spending money.
So “what’s the harm in that?!” you ask?
