In late May I was about 2 weeks away from giving birth!

We had the bassinet ready.

The house organized.

But emotionally, I was in this sort of holding space.

I had no clue what to expect when the baby was born.

Like: What does new baby life look like? What's it going to be like NOT to have the freedom go out to dinners, work, talk to friends on a whim?

I was totally excited for the babes (obviously!) but I also wanted answers.

You know how you have this picture in your mind of something that drives you: creating a feel-good business model that supports you financially and spiritually (finally!)? Or being in a fulfilling and easy relationship? Or running an impactful, heartfelt group coaching program?

But if you're honest with yourself, the idea of actually getting the thing you want is simultaneously...scary?

If we're used to struggling with our finances, overthinking, people-pleasing, or not getting our needs met in relationships...

Who will we be if we no longer have that challenge?

Who will we become when we actually "have the baby?"

For me, I questioned how I would manage things emotionally as a new mom.

I tend to fluctuate between a 'let's make it happen!' attitude and a 'let me take this in and really feel all the feels!' mentality.

Once the baby was born I wasn't sure which I would be.

But: I knew I’d have to embrace uncertainty, because the baby was coming regardless!

With most other things we want in our lives and businesses though - we don’t necessarily have to birth them.

We can choose to hold in our real desires.

We can choose to hold ourselves back.

Over the years I’ve realized, though, that personally?

I don’t want to NOT go for something out of fear.

I don’t want worry, or uncertainty, or hesitation to stop me from doing something that has the potential to be incredible, life-changing, impactful, gorgeous.

You know what I mean?

We only live ONCE!

So how do we do it?

How do we move past the "certainty" of our present into the possibility of our future?

What it comes down to is one simple decision that you must keep making again and again.

And that’s to actively choose uncertainty.

Choose not knowing.

Choose being unsure!

Because really: no matter the situation we're always facing uncertainty of some sort.

We can never be absolutely certain things will work out the way we plan. (Hello, Covid 19!)

We can never be 100% positive that reality will meet our expectations and desires.

But! Putting more weight into the fear-based stipulations of getting on video, or raising your prices, or investing in your business, prevents outcomes like: reaching a greater audience, connecting with people who truly understand the benefit of investing in themselves, or growing your impact and income.

In other words?

Fixating on fear-based thoughts reinforces fear-based results.

You get what you focus on!

So?

Focus on something new.

Wonderful.

Powerful.

Exciting!

Say yes to uncertainty in the name of possibility.

Subtract the fear.

Add the faith.

Surrender.

Dive in.

That's my babe! Her name is Violet! The funny thing is, we thought it was going to be a boy for SURE until I gave birth and the doctor announced it was a girl. We were floored. It was the best surprise ever. ☝️

PS: Ok, so listen! Right before I had Violet I ran a mastermind group with several lovely, beautiful entrepreneurs. One was starting a podcast, the other creating collabs with various companies and launching her website, and another was creating wonderful offers and running challenges that her audience loved.

I think what makes the mastermind so awesome is the community. When you choose to believe that you are deserving of expansiveness and abundance, that you can successfully create and launch the thing you really believe in into the world, then plug into a community of others who feel the same - magic happens. My client Raechel shared that “she’s never felt so aligned.” YES!!!
